RICK JARVIS is one of California’s leading land use, environmental, and municipal litigators, having litigated more than 50 land use and environmental cases, including California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) suits, developer takings, and other civil rights claims and fee challenges. Rick has extensive familiarity with a broad range of California land use laws, including CEQA, the Planning and Zoning Law, the Subdivision Map Act, and the Mitigation Fee Act. Rick received his law degree from U.C. Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law in 1991. Prior to forming the firm, Rick was a principal with the Meyers Nave law firm, where he was head of the Land Use Litigation Department. Rick was selected by Law &  Politics for inclusion in its list of "Super Lawyers" in Northern California  for 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2010 which seeks to list the top 5 percent of lawyers in  Northern California through a process of independent evaluation and peer  review.
